A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Katcher received his doctorate of medicine from the University of Vermont College of Medicine.  He completed an Medical Internship and Residency at George Washington University as well as an Oncology and Hematology Fellowship.  He is board certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology and Internal Medicine.

He is a member of several professional organizations including the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
